Evaluators sought for new content packaging tutorial
The JISC funded IMS Content Packaging and Management Project are seeking volunteers to evaluate their online tutorial on the development of reusable educational resources.
The tutorial and online evaluation questionnaire can be accessed at
Current research in the field of C&IT for teaching and learning is increasingly suggesting a move away from the development of large monolithic courses towards the production of smaller reusable learning resources. These resources can then be assembled as required to build customised modules tailored to meet the specific needs of different groups of learners.
This tutorial introduces staff to the concept of developing reusable educational resources and highlights examples of good and bad practice. The tutorial will be of relevance to academic staff, staff developers, C&IT developers and all those interested in developing reusable educational materials and electronic learning resources.
The online tutorial was developed by Boon Kee Low and Charles Duncan, at the University of Edinburgh. If you would like further information on the tutorial evaluation please contact Lorna M. Campbell at email@example.com.
The project team are also developing a content package editor which will be demonstrated in an interactive session at the forthcoming ALT conference.
