Sentient launch repository with Word interface

The solution consists of a central repository (LearnBase) and a content creation tool (LearnBuild). Claimed to be able to create IMS Content Packages, LearnBuild allows users to do most content creation and publishing operations from within Microsoft Word.

That includes the usual repository operations like searching and publishing, but also the creation of packages from local and remote materials, and the modification of existing packages. Metadata template creation is also claimed to be included.

LearnBuild itself appears more of a conventional repository, with some support for the creation of different areas and collections. The tool is available as a hosted server solution (Application Service Provider, ASP), or as a piece of software to be run by the institution itself.
