JISC Online Conference - Innovating e-Learning 2006: Transforming Learning Experiences

Explore some of the key issues relating to e-learning under three themes:

* Designing for Learning, introduced by Professor Diana Laurillard, Chair of Learning with Digital Technologies at the London Knowledge Lab.

* Learner Experiences of e-Learning, introduced by John Stone, Chief Executive, Learning and Skills Network (LSN).

* Innovating e-Learning Practice, introduced by Professor Stephen Heppell, Learn3K Research Centre, National College of Ireland.

The concluding presentation will be given by Chris Yapp, Head of Public Sector Innovation at Microsoft. There will also be presentations and discussions around topics under these themes from presenters representing further and higher education and the international community.

Discussions for each session will take place in the asynchronous conferencing environment successfully trialled with a recent e-Learning and Pedagogy Experts Group meeting. As this takes place online, the conference will open 20 March to allow for pre-conference reading, and delegates can still log in for reading-only up to two weeks after the close.

Registration fee: 50 per delegate

Date: from 27 March, 2006 to 31 March, 2006
