Technology without barriers: putting disability awareness into practice

This seminar is being held by the Multimedia and Information Technology Group (NW) of CILIP (Chartered Institute for Library and Information Professionals). Duties under the Disability Discrimination Act require providers and facilitators of public services, and most recently of education and learning, to take reasonable steps to ensure that disabled people are not treated less favourably or placed at a substantial disadvantage. The seminar will address both strategic & action plans for library and information services.
