Web Accessibility: Design-for-all Workshop

Web accessibility affects many different users- not just the visually impaired. "Design-for-all" is a European initiative to encourage designers to develop a single accessible web site.

This workshop will be relevant to anyone who is familiar with HTML and wishes to ensure that they are producing accessible web pages.

Topics will include:

  • Exploring probable accessibility problems

  • Accessibility legislation and the W3C guidelines

  • Writing good HTML and using Cascading Style Sheets

  • Implementing effective site navigation

  • Creating accessible web content

  • Putting Dynamic HTML to good use

  • Tools for testing

The cost of the workshop is 120 for participants from UK Higher and Further Education.

Date: 19 May, 2003
Venue: Oxford University Computing Service, Oxford, England
