The JOLTS (Joint Learning Technology Standards) Workshop is hosted by Sheffield Hallam University and sponsored by CETIS, JISC, Sheffield Hallam University, and UfI Learndirect.

JOLTS is an exciting collaboration between three groups, who have got together for the first time to bring their work to a wider audience. Each group will hold open meetings on their particular aspect of e-learning specifications and standards and, as there are three groups, so there are three main strands to this conference: European Standards (CEN/ISSS); Accessibility (CETIS-TechDis); and Conformance (TELCERT) with a day devoted to each.

Attendance on individual or all three days is open to all and free of charge including lunch and refreshments, however pre-registration is essential using the online registration form.

19th Meeting of the CEN/ISSS WS-LT
CEN/ISSS is the joint partnership of the European Committee for Standardization and the Information Society Standardization System, and is involved in a range of standards work. On Day 1 of this event, the work of the WS-LT (Workshop Learning Technologies) will be discussed, topics include:

7th CETIS-TechDis Accessibility SIG Meeting
The CEN/ISSS WS-LT meeting continues on Day 2 and joins up with the CETIS Accessibility SIG (Special Interest Group). The SIG acts as a discussion and dissemination forum for encouraging best practice in the use of accessibility specifications in e-learning. Presentations will include:

TELCERT (Technology Enhanced Learning: Conformance European Requirements for Testing) is led by a consortium of e-Learning providers, research and industry organisations and aims to develop software testing and conformance systems to assure interoperability of e-Learning content and technology.
