Personal Development Planning practice and systems |
This is some help for using the site at http://www.cetis.ac.uk/members/PDPcontent. The site is provided only for registered users. To apply for registration, please send details of whether you are a PDP practitioner, or involved with a PDP ICT system, something about that involvement, and a username and password of your choice to Simon Grant at a@simongrant.org. This site is intended as an exchange, rather than a showcase, so we would like you to take on an entry either for PDP practice or an ICT system supporting PDP.
The site consist of two main sections.
From the home page, click on the heading of interest. You get a list of what is viewable of the type you want.
Click on a name to view a survey of that example of PDP practice, or of that IT system. At any time you can return to the home page by clicking on the link in the top part of every browsing page ("PDP practice in the UK"). This page is always in its own window. The "how-to" link at the top right of every page opens this page in its own window. If you click on it an nothing seems to happen, it is because you already have this window open - find your window (task bar at the bottom of Windows).
Within an example of practice, or a system, the surveyed information is stored in a tree or hierarchy. At every level, the page has:
There are two ways of navigating through the tree. Firstly one can choose the links to go one step down, or any number of steps up, the tree. Secondly one can jump to any point displayed in the tree display.
Clicking on the plus
and minus
boxes at the top respectively expands all the branches and collapses them all.
Clicking on any other plus
or minus
expands or collapses that particular branch.
If you disable cookies, the tree display will not work, and you will have to navigate through the ordinary links.
Only if you are registered as the editor (or manager) of that branch, next to the object's name will be an "edit" link which will take you to a form to edit the main information displayed.
For help with editing, please visit the page on how to edit.
