5th Enterprise SIG MeetingThe 5th CETIS Enterprise SIG Meeting was held in collaboration with a JISC Town Meeting to discuss Tenders for the Technical Development Strand of the new JISC e-Learning Framework Programme. The meeting was held on Monday 22nd March, in the Lakeside Conference Centre, Aston University, Birmingham. The date was chosen to cut down meeting travel, as many of the delegates were going on to the annual JISC Conference, being held in Birmingham the next day. The venue was very good, and served a delicious hot meal for lunch. About 29 people attended the morning session, which was an Enterprise SIG meeting, with a presentation from Scott Wilson about the new IMS Enterprise Services Specification, and a session from Nick Sharples about the Enterprise Services Demo Kit he has been developing. The presentations were followed by discussion and questions about the Demo Kit. In the afternoon, numbers went up to around 35, as more people joined the meeting for the JISC Town Meeting. Tish introduced the new Tenders - to develop Service Oriented Architectures, and discussed the JISC bidding process; and Scott discussed technical requirements of the Call. Attendees asked questions about the Tenders. PresentationsIntroduction and update on Enterprise SIG (Powerpoint). Vashti Zarach, Enterprise SIG Coordinator. IMS Enterprise Services Spec (Powerpoint).
