Please now visit the Portfolio SIG site which takes forward some of the work of the LLSP now that it has run its course.

The Lifelong Learning Support Project (LLSP) was part of the JISC-funded MLEs for Lifelong Learning Programme, offering all of these projects a menu of support activities and resources. It was managed by the Centre for Recording Achievement and supported by CETIS.

Our continuing work brought together several resources located in different places. This was a central point from which all such resources may be found. We are now building a new central point for related resources, at the guide section of the Portfolio SIG site.

Resources for scenario building

  • Why? Scenarios describe typical uses of a system as narratives or stories. Scenarios will help practitioners, learners, systems developers and managers to have a shared understanding of the purpose of a system and how the system can benefit all stakeholders.
  • What? This contains examples of built scenarios from the MLEs for Lifelong Learning projects.
  • How? Here are some examples of documents to support the construction of scenarios including those from workshops, courses and a resource pack.

Resources managed by staff associated with the LLSP

The Centre for Recording Achievement web site
This gives a wide range of resources connected with Personal Development Planning (PDP).
The PDPcontent CETIS sub-site
This contains details from a survey of PDP practice in the UK, some details of ICT systems supporting PDP, all within a framework of generic PDP activities and outputs, allowing comparison between the entries. Access is restricted but given to those with interest.
The UK Developmental LIP CETIS sub-site (archive only)
Here were the resources relevant to the developing UK profile of the IMS LIP specification, working towards British Standard 8788, UKLeaP: the UK Learner Profile. This work is now taken forward as LEAP 2.0
Towards Interoperability of learner information: PDP, e-portfolio, transcript
Including presentations from the related workshop in Wigan, 2004-01-29.
