Pedagogy Forum and Metadata SIG

This was a joint meeting of the CETIS Metadata SIG (Special Interest Group) and the CETIS Pedagogy Forum

The Meeting was held at the Open University at their Milton Keynes campus on Tuesday 20th September 2005, Location details (including accommodation)

The focus of the meeting was on the overlap of the two groups, specifically whether the future resource discovery and sharing needs of the pedagogy community will be met by the descriptions and services offered by the metadata community. For example, can new types of shareable resource (learning designs, student portfolios, assessments) be adequately described by current and planned metadata schemas? And how can repositories of learning materials address the needs of the educators using them?
