Second Pedagogy Forum Meeting - Scenarios and Tools

The Second Pedagogy Forum Meeting was held on Friday 25th July 2003 at the University of Huddersfield.

The Agenda for the day included:

• The Learning Design 'inspired' tool, 'LAMS' (Learning Activity Management System) demonstration

Although the Pedagogy Forum are not dealing with one IMS Specification in particular, but rather take a more general approach, the new Learning Design specification has received a lot of interest. During the course of the Pedagogy Forum Launch there was some reference to this

Related to the discussions about Learning Design were requirements for software‘tools’ and some mentioned they had seen the Learning Design 'inspired' ‘LAMS’ (Learning Activity Management System.) COLIS (Collaborative Online Learning & Information Services) was also mentioned - this is not a ‘tool’ but the acronym came up and Feedback gathered from the evaluation forms asked for more information about these. Hence at this event, we organised for Prof James Dalziel to demonstrate LAMS and there was chance for participants to discuss this further and provide feedback.
