Really personalize your VLE

Tony Hirst has found a good one here: how to add widgets to web applications such as Moodle through Firefox. Put your favourite widgets into the VLE interface without the intercession, or knowledge, of the VLE provider. Now that is personalization.

Greasemonkey has turned into an absolutely amazing tool for inverting relationships among providers and users. I still think the example of using it to insert the library information straight into the Amazon search results (rather than force the user through the library user interface) is especially nice.
