Tim Bray on Rails, REST, Web Services, and SOA

I've just watched a great interview with Tim Bray from Sun. I wasn't at the CETIS conference session on architecture, but I bet Tim would have been a great person to have had along.

Tim has also written with great bitter experience about XML standards generally on his blog, and his essay on the cons (mostly) of developing XML dialects is well worth reading. I've tried to incorporate some of the experiences of developing the Atom spec into my current work with XCRI, the course catalog syndication spec (more on that soon...)
